April was a good month for Pete Rose. The Warwickshire left fielder had his way with opposing pitchers all month while posting a .432 batting average and was selected as the British Batter of the Month.
Last month Rose put up some solid numbers: 4 home runs, 16 RBIs, 22 runs scored and a .478 on-base percentage.

 | Tuesday, April 29th, 1930: Rizzuto Bashes 5 Base Hits
Warwickshire shortstop Phil Rizzuto really lit up the Surrey Brown Caps with a 5-hit barrage today at Edgbaston -- a performance that sparked the Bears to a 3-1 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game and said, "Sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
P. Rizzuto singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a two-run home run off J. Aker in the 12th.
This season Rizzuto is batting .265 with 1 home run. |

Lefty Stewart shut 'em down and shut 'em out, hurling Sussex past Warwickshire 5-0 in a complete game victory.
He told SION sportswriters in the postgame interview, "This is a game of adjustments and I made some good ones in this game."
Stewart held the Warwickshire Bears without a run, tossing a 5-hitter while walking 3 and fanning 1.
