Pembroke-2nd-IX hurler Togie Pittinger was at his best as he whitewashed the Limavady-2nd-IX Greyhounds 2-0 today.
"He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said the Limavady-2nd-IX manager. "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit."
Pittinger fired a 2-hitter and totaled 7 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout performance.
Up to now Pittinger has recorded a record of 6-0. In 6 starts he has fanned 52 batters in 53 innings with a 1.19 ERA.

It is unknown at this time if there is any truth to the rumor that Limavady-2nd-IX's Glenn Wilson has asked his team for a trade. Insiders indicate the center fielder may not be happy with the club management. So far, the team's owners have refused to comment.

It was an extraordinary week for Charlie Dexter of the Limavady-2nd-IX Greyhounds. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .571, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the Dales. Last week Dexter went 16-28, racked up 1 home run and 2 RBIs and scored 4 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Limavady-2nd-IX first baseman.
Looking at his 1930 season stats, Dexter has compiled a .358 batting average in 18 games with a .422 on-base percentage, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 8 runs.
