The honor went to Alex Cora, shortstop of the Kent-2nd-IX Spitfires.
In an extraordinary hitting display, he belted out hits at a .440 pace to win the award. Cora went 11-25 for the week, totaled 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 4 times.

Carl Vandagrift of the Spitfires came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against Warwickshire-2nd-IX.
In the postgame press conference the Warwickshire-2nd-IX skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."
