| Breaking News |  | Monday, November 2nd, 1931: Hampshire Hawks and Phoenix Agree to Trade A trade between the Hampshire Hawks and the Yorkshire Phoenix was made official this morning. The Hampshire Hawks have sent 29-year old third baseman Ralph Hodgin, 33-year old center fielder Johnny Cooney, 27-year old starting pitcher Allan Anderson and a 4th round draft pick to the Yorkshire Phoenix in exchange for 34-year old starting pitcher Tex Carleton and 30-year old third baseman George Brett.
During his career Anderson has totaled 30 victories and 35 defeats with a 3.87 ERA. The 27-year-old hurler also has struck out 399 batters in 585.1 innings and surrendered 612 hits.
Brett has a career .312 batting average and .366 on-base percentage. He has recorded 1991 hits with 435 doubles, 64 triples, 191 homers, 898 RBIs and scored 1029 runs since coming into the league. |  | Thursday, October 29th, 1931: Hampshire Deals to Worcestershire for Miljus A trade between the Hampshire Hawks and the Worcestershire Royals was made official this morning. The Hampshire Hawks have sent a 2nd round draft pick to the Worcestershire Royals in exchange for 31-year old starting pitcher Dave Wright, 31-year old reliever Johnny Miljus and $1,000 in cash.
For the year Miljus has saved 1 games while posting an ERA of 1.91 and 32 strikeouts in 42.1 innings. His totals also include a 4-2 record in 25 relief appearances. |  | Thursday, October 1st, 1931: Hampshire's Knight Top Pitcher in September George Knight had an outstanding September -- so good that the Celtic presented him with the Pitcher of the Month Award earlier today.
"There's no way to know where the Hawks would be without Knight," one fan is quoted as saying.
In September Knight dominated the competition, running up a 5-1 record, a 1.91 ERA and 43 strikeouts in 47 innings.
