| Breaking News |  | Friday, September 1st, 1922: Pujols Brings Home BL Batter of Month Honor
Albert Pujols picked up the top batter prize in the British for August.
The Leicestershire first baseman hit .349 with 8 home runs, 24 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He also drew 10 walks to post an OBP of .418.
This year Pujols has hit at a .314 clip with 155 hits, 31 home runs, 92 RBIs and 89 runs scored.

 | Sunday, August 27th, 1922: Leicestershire Left Fielder Will Miss 2 Months
Manny Jimenez of the Leicestershire Foxes was injured in today's game against Yorkshire and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a fractured cheekbone, and he is expected to be out for up to 2 months. It happened while Jimenez was being hit by a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."
This season Jimenez has hit at a .236 clip with 58 RBIs, 13 home runs and 58 runs scored. He has played in 126 games.

| Monday, August 14th, 1922: BL Trophy Goes to Pujols of Leicestershire
The British has named its Top Player of the Week. The honor went to Albert Pujols, first baseman of the Leicestershire Foxes.
In an extraordinary hitting display, he belted out hits at a .522 pace to win the award. Pujols went 12-23 for the week, totaled 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and scored 2 times.
This year Pujols is hitting .324 with 28 home runs and 82 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .412 clip and scored 79 runs.
