Clontarf's Art Nehf breezed through the Gladiators lineup today, collecting a 6-hit shutout and a 4-0 victory along the way. Nehf fanned 4 as well.
"I didn't really feel like I had my game today," Nehf confessed, "but some days are like that -- you just gotta go with what you have."
This year Nehf has a 17-9 mark in 32 starts with a 1.78 ERA. He has given up 210 hits in 252.2 innings, struck out 135 and issued 54 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .228 batting average against him.

It was a smooth and solid performance by Art Nehf of the Clontarf Bulls against Gloucestershire today. He crafted a fine 4-hitter in blanking them 6-0 and chalked up 6 strikeouts and 1 walk along the way.
"It certainly makes my job easy," said the Clontarf skipper. "When my pitcher pitches a shutout. I can just sit back, watch, and enjoy."

After the end of today's game between Clontarf and Glamorgan, Happy Felsch skipped the clubhouse and headed straight for the doctor's office. After he was removed from the game as a precaution after running the bases, the Bulls had their worst fears confirmed when it turned out to be more serious. The center fielder will miss at least 2 weeks with a strained abdominal muscle.
In 1922, Felsch is hitting .286 with 2 home runs and 65 RBIs in 124 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .333 with 39 walks and 65 runs scored.
