| Breaking News |  | Saturday, April 19th, 1930: McBride Fashions Shutout Against Somerset
Clontarf hurler Dick McBride put on quite a show today as he blitzed the Somerset Sabres with a 3-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 3 hits with no strikeouts and 2 walks to pick up the win.
The opposing manager told reporters after the game, "I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball."

| Saturday, March 29th, 1930: Bulls CHARLESTON Sidelined for 8 Months
"It was kinda freaky. Hopefully, I'll be back in the lineup soon," said a dejected OSCAR CHARLESTON after injuring himself in a game against Somerset. The Clontarf manager told SION reporters, "He will miss up to 8 months with a torn bicep muscle." The Bulls will have to decide over the next day or two whether the center fielder will go on the disabled list.
