Breaking News Saturday, September 30th, 1922: McKean Will Miss 7-8 Months The Derbyshire Phantoms will have to make do without Ed McKean for 7-8 months. He suffered a fractured cheekbone while making a defensive play in the game today against the Yorkshire Phoenix. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the shortstop. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." McKean will miss 7-8 months. Currently McKean has 7 home runs and a .287 batting average.
