Home Nations Baseball Association News Article | |  | Tuesday, August 28th, 1928: Nothing Doing for Greyhounds, Shutout by Tobin Jim Tobin was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He blanked the Limavady Greyhounds 11-0 on 3 hits and had 1 walk and 3 strikeouts.
"You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," the Limavady skipper told reporters after the shutout loss to the Hampshire Hawks.
"He just had a real deceiving fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
This season Tobin has compiled a 17-6 record with a 2.84 ERA in 26 starts. | |
