Home Nations Baseball Association News Article | |  | Thursday, August 16th, 1928: Red Foxes Reliever Out Pembroke fans held their breath as Jack Cronin left yesterday's Dragons-Red Foxes contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 25-year-old reliever had suffered dead arm syndrome while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 1-2 weeks.
To date he has nailed down 32 saves for his club. In 45 relief appearances, Cronin has 21 strikeouts in 46.2 innings with a 2.12 ERA and a 2-3 mark. | |
