Home Nations Baseball Association News Article | |  | Friday, August 20th, 1926: Cruz Sidelined, Listed DTD by Buckie Whalers right fielder Jose Cruz was injured while making a defensive play yesterday against the Lancashire Lightning. It was diagnosed as a a concussion. He is not expected to miss too much action and will be listed as day-to-day. Team doctors said it could be as long as one week before Buckie standout player returns to the lineup.
Currently Cruz is hitting .320 and has collected 17 home runs, 57 RBIs and scored 88 times, while playing in 111 games. | |
