Sunday, August 18th, 1929: Injury Takes Toll, Vaughan Out 10-11 Months
The Somerset Sabres will have to make do without Arky Vaughan for 10-11 months. He suffered a torn groin muscle while running the bases in the game today against the Hampshire Hawks. His teammates, understandably, were upset about losing the shortstop. "That's a tough break for him," one of them said. "But this team is resilient. We will just fill in until he gets back." Vaughan will miss 10-11 months.

In the 1929 season Vaughan is hitting .307 with 4 home runs.
