 | Wednesday, July 11th, 1928: Royals-Sabres Deal: for Lange The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Worcestershire Royals sent $1,100 in cash to the Somerset Sabres for 34-year old reliever Erv Lange. Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal. This year Lange has notched 2 saves. He has 13 strikeouts and 6 walks in 17.1 innings while registering a 7.27 ERA and a 0-2 won-lost record. |
