Steve Hertz will miss 8 weeks due to a fractured foot. In the Lancashire-Buckie game he sustained the injury while running the bases. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Hertz sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."
In the 1922 campaign Hertz has hit at a .273 clip with 43 RBIs, 16 home runs and 53 runs scored. | |
