Home Nations Baseball Association News Article | | | Thursday, June 1st, 1922: Moose Tames Red Foxes Bob Moose of the Larne Pirates was on fire against Pembroke. He shut them down 8-0 on 3 hits and no runs with 9 strikeouts and 1 walk.
"The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Moose said. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that."
This season Moose has registered 5 wins and 5 losses in 12 starts with a 3.18 ERA. | |
