Wednesday, May 24th, 1922: Surrey Triumphs Over Derbyshire
Dazzy Vance of the Surrey Brown Caps put the clamps on the opposition and held the Derbyshire Phantoms scoreless in a 4-hit whitewash.

"He's got some good stuff, but we should have done better than that," said the Derbyshire skipper after the 7-0 loss.

Vance was on target most of the game and finished with 9 strikeouts and 2 walks.

This season Vance has compiled a 9-1 record with a 1.38 ERA.
