 | Tuesday, May 23rd, 1922: Derbyshire's McKean Out 1-2 Weeks "I'm frustrated right now," said Derbyshire shortstop Ed McKean. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Phantoms, that's where he will be spending the next 1-2 weeks. McKean suffered bruised ribs in today's game against Surrey while making a defensive play. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." In 1922 McKean is batting .341 with 62 hits, 4 home runs, 31 RBIs, 25 walks, .416 OBP and has scored 33 runs. He has played in 46 games. |
