 | Monday, May 22nd, 1922: Judge BL's Best of the Week A hot-hitting week got Joe Judge the British Player of the Week trophy. He really wore out his welcome with league pitchers. The Derbyshire first baseman slammed them for a .550 average, 11 hits in 20 at-bats, no home runs, 4 RBIs and scored 6 runs. In the postgame press conference, Judge shared his hitting philosophy with the SION scribes: "Just look for the seams and hit between them...nothin' more than that." This year Judge has no home runs and a .285 batting average. |
