They clinched it by knocking off the Spitfires 5-1 to take their 1st Home Nations Baseball Association crown. Hampshire took the series 4-2.
"This club never gave up all year long. They believed they could win the title and they did," the victorious skipper told the press.
"We just didn't play well enough to win," the Spitfires manager lamented, "We just didn't make the big plays like they did."
